Auction Terms & Conditions CONDITIONS OF SALE Bidding on items indicated acceptance of the following terms: 1. A Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each lot: the Buyer's Premium is 18%, 3% discount for cash or good check. Mastercard, VISA and American Express accepted. Bidders holding a valid Massachusetts or out-of-state resale number, must provide their certificate or a copy thereof when registering or they will be required to pay 6.25% Massachusetts Sales Tax on purchases. 2. All goods are sold "AS IS" and all sales are final. Condition reports are not included in this catalog. It is the responsibility of prospective bidders to examine lots and decide their level of interest. Neither the auctioneer, nor the consignor, is responsible for the accuracy of any printed or verbal descriptions. All weights and measurements are approximate. 3. The auctioneer has the sole right to settle disputed bids and decide whether or not to reoffer the lot. 4. The record of sale kept by the auction house will be taken as final in the event of any dispute. 5. The purchaser assumers complete responsibility for items at the fall of the hammer. 6. Absentee bids will be executed as a convenience to customers when possible; the auction house will not be held responsible for any errors or failures to accurately execute bids. Bidders must to submit absentee bids at least 1 hour prior to the start of the auction. 7. The auction will be held simultaneously on www.liveauctioneers.com. The buyer's premium is 18% for all purchases via Live Auctioneers. Prospective bidders must register and be approved prior to placing bids or bidding live. 8. Items may be withdrawn at any time prior to the offering of each lot. 9. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject an opening bid that, in his opinion, is not commensurate with the value of the lot. 10. The auction house reserves the right to hold property until checks clear. Potential buyers of expensive lots should discuss payment before the sale. A service charge of 1.5% will be added to unpaid balances 30 days after the sale date. If a check fails to clear after a second deposit, the purchaser will be held responsible for any and all fees incurred until we have collected good funds. 11. Payment is due at the end of each sale, or upon receipt of an invoice, unless other arrangements have been authorized by the auction house. Shipping is arranged as a courtesy and at the buyer's expense. Regardless of the shipping method, Marion Antique Auctions, must have received cleared funds to release property.
